The Furlong Velvet Touch is the range for anyone who wants a genuinely luxurious carpet — the kind where you notice the difference the moment you step onto it. Made by Furlong Flooring, it features an ultra-dense saxony pile that feels exceptionally soft and velvet-like underfoot. It's the sort of carpet that transforms a bedroom or sitting room into something special.
The five colourways — Mink, Mushroom, Latte, Truffle and Taupe — are all beautifully considered neutrals with a warmth and depth that photographs struggle to do justice to. These aren't flat, flat colours; the dense pile catches light differently depending on the angle, giving the carpet a subtle, luxurious sheen. They've been chosen to work with the warm, natural interior palettes that are popular in East Sussex homes — think natural linens, warm woods and soft stone tones.
Despite the luxury feel, the Furlong Velvet Touch is rated Heavy Domestic and carries a 10-year wear warranty, so it's not just for show rooms. It's quiet underfoot, which makes it especially popular for bedrooms, and it comes in 4m and 5m widths to minimise wastage.
